Why should you use remote monitoring for lung transplant patients?

Thank you to the Lung Transplant Foundation for hosting a fantastic webinar on using remote monitoring to replace clinic visits with digital visits for lung transplant patient consultations.

The webinar provides a first-hand account from Darya Rudym, MD, Transplant Pulmonologist and Clinical Assistant Professor, NYU Langone Health on how remote monitoring has reduced clinic visits and increased patient reassurance in her lung transplant centre.

Our own CEO Eamonn Costello also provides an overview of the patientMpower remote monitoring solution for lung transplant. The platform includes integrated spirometry, pulse oximetry, heart rate and blood pressure measurement, body weight, temperature and activity tracking and a number of other features which not only allows clinicians to effectively manage their lung transplant patients from home, but also empowers patients to better understand their own health.

The Lung Transplant Foundation supports research, education and advocacy for lung transplant and we are delighted to be a partner in helping achieve better outcomes for patients.

When COVID-19 hit, Transplant Pulmonologist Prof Darya Rudym describes in this Lung Transplantation Foundation webinar how remote monitoring enabled NYU Langone to provide comprehensive care for their patients, effectively replacing face-to-face consultations with better quality care than video calls alone.
